Terra Aquia graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in the spring of 2016 with a BA in history and a minor in anthropology. In her role at ACRE, she works with a variety of scholars to create interdisciplinary social studies educational content for K- 12 teachers & students in Arkansas. Dr. Mavuto Kalulu
Dr. Mavuto Kalulu is a policy analyst with ACRE and a professor of economics. He specializes in research on government transparency, governance, and K-12 education. You can find his Economic Freedom of the World curriculum here
Dr. Jeremy Horpedahl
Dr. Jeremy Horpedahl is a professor of economics at the University of Central Arkansas and an ACRE Scholar. He received his PhD in economics from George Mason University in 2009, concentrating in public choice, public finance, and economic history. You can find his Time Well Spent curriculum here
Dr. Thomas Snyder
Dr. Thomas Snyder is the Department Chair of Economics at UCA and an ACRE Scholar. His research specializes in micro and macro economics, environmental economics, developing nations, econometrics, international trade, and more. You can find his Sweatshops and Opportunity Costs curriculum here
Dr. Kathryn Carroll
Dr. Kathryn Carroll is an Assistant Professor of Family & Consumer Sciences at the University of Central Arkansas. In her research, she uses experiments and survey research to examine questions in the area of consumer decision making. She is the lead author and presenter for ACRE’s Budgeting Basics lesson and activities.
Dr. Michael Casey
Dr. Michael Casey is a Professor of Finance in the College of Business at the University of Central Arkansas. To date, he has published more than 100 articles in such journals as the Financial Review, the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, and the Journal of Computer Information Systems, and is the coauthor of the high school textbook Personal Financial Literacy.
