Arkansas Mock Trial 2024
What is Mock Trial: Mock Trial is a student competition where Arkansas students will take the roles of attorneys & witnesses to simulate a court case. Students learn rules of evidence, how to make compelling opening and closing arguments, how to question witnesses, and more, in this immersive role playing experience.
Arkansas Mock Trial is sponsored annually by the Arkansas Bar Association. The competition will be held on March 1-2, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Top performing teams will meet at a state championship competition, where the winning team will represent Arkansas at the National High School Mock Trial Championship, to be held in Wilmington, Delaware, on May 2-4, 2024.
The 2024 case is now available! Learn about the case and how to participate here or find photos of student participation from past mock trial programs here.
Preparing Students:
The Arkansas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the Arkansas Bar Association Mock Trial Committee have developed a Lecture Series that students can watch to learn more about how to effectively participate in Mock Trial. These videos explain many of the rules for how to move through a trial process, including how to question a witness, how to organize thoughts and present information to jurors, and more! See the entire series on the Arkansas Mock Trial website!

Volunteer:
The Mock Trial program is successful because of event volunteers! Scoring judges, presiding judges, and bailiffs all serve a vital role in the tournament.
